Reviewing unmatched Macs
Unmatched rows don’t mean the import has failed. They are the bit that stops a messy list becoming a messy Jamf change.
What this helps with
A calmer review of serials, asset tags, and odd rows before a static group is updated.
Follow these steps.
- Run Preview Matches and open the unmatched list.
- Check for typos, old serials, extra spaces, and asset records that do not belong.
- Decide whether to fix the import file or leave the row out of this change.
- Preview again after cleaning the list.
- Only continue when the matched list is the list you expect.
