Jamf parameter testing

Jamf parameters are easy to forget until a script behaves strangely. This guide keeps them visible while you test.

What this helps with

A script run where parameters 4 onwards are named, checked, and matched to the real policy behaviour.

Follow these steps.

1. Open the script and list the Jamf parameters it expects.
2. Name each parameter in plain language so the next admin knows what it is for.
3. Run the script with a normal set of values, then run it again with one awkward or missing value.
4. Check whether the output explains the failure clearly enough for another admin.
5. Update the script or notes before the policy is touched.
